Garage sales are definitely a suburban thing because only houses in the suburbs really have a yard to host one! I grew up in suburbia and my grandmother definitely had garage sale radar!!In these tough economic times, garage sales are a great way to make some extra money while simultaneous purging unwanted items in your house! For thrifty fashionistas, they are a great way to score some vintage items for a fraction of the price!
But mostly, I would call this signage an example of suburban type because it's has a casual, friendly feel too it. It's inviting and very "soccer mom" with it's uneven baselines, etc.
